Touchwood invites Solihull to a Royal Good Time

In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Touchwood is inviting visitors to join in with a Bank Holiday weekend full of fun, from Thursday 2nd – Sunday 5th June.
The celebrations get underway on Thursday with a teddy bear’s picnic, complete with visits from Paddington Bear himself! Face painters and jugglers will also be entertaining the little ones throughout the day.

The entertainment continues on Friday with free pottery painting from Fired Crafts, stilt walkers and Teresa Farrell singing Great British classics. Saturday sees the Mini Marching Band, in collaboration with Music Monsters, march through Touchwood after a free musical workshop. There will also be entertainment from rollerskaters and the Boogaloo Babes singing their renditions of classic tunes from the 30s-60s.
Sunday brings Touchwood’s Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations to a close with live magic from the Magician to the Monarch and the ‘Roaming Britania’ stilt walkers to finish with a bang.
Following the Jubilee weekend, the celebrations will continue as the Birmingham 2022 Queen’s Baton Relay passes through Touchwood on Tuesday 28th June – one of many stops on its final journey through England this summer.
