Touchwood Solihull welcomes Japanese-inspired lifestyle store MINISO just in time for the bank holiday

Coming to Touchwood on the 1st June, MINISO is a Japanese-inspired lifestyle retail store which delivers on its motto ‘life is for fun’. It offers a full range of high-quality and design-led products including toys, tech, stationery, accessories, home, food, health and beauty, all for great value for money.
With a number of activities planned to mark the launch, including traditional Japanese drummers and goodie bags for the first 150 customers, visitors to Touchwood are invited along to join in with the celebrations.
This will be the brand’s eighth UK store with Touchwood becoming the first outlet in the Midlands. The 1775 ft store will be located in Mill Lane Arcade, near the Atrium.
MINISO enjoys exclusive partnerships with many well-loved brands such as Marvel, Disney, Toy Story, Tom and Jerry and We Bare Bears and proudly collaborates with a team of international designers from Japan, China, Korea, Sweden and Denmark.
Saad Usman, COO at MINISO UK, said: “We’re delighted to announce the launch of our store in Touchwood, Solihull. We believe that the opening of this store, our first franchise, in the heart of the Midlands is the perfect place for us to continue our expansion in the UK. We are actively looking for franchisees across the country to grow the brand yet further.
“At MINISO UK, we’re committed to getting the retail industry back on its feet, demonstrated not only by the investment into our fantastic new store, but also the creation of 10-15 new jobs in the local market.
With innovative and exciting products that are high-quality and great value, we look forward to welcoming customers of all ages through our doors on opening day and beyond.”
Commenting on the latest unique brand to open at Touchwood, Tony Elvin, General Manager, said: “We are proud of the diverse range of retail, hospitality and leisure that we have on offer at Touchwood and the opening of MINISO broadens the experience for our visitors even more. We are delighted MINISO chose Touchwood to become its first Midlands home and we wish them every success.”
The opening of MINISO kicks off what is set to be a month of new cultural influences joining the centre, with the opening of Alioli – an Andalusian gypsy inspired tapas restaurant, and Café Emporio Artari – a café and champagne bar, inspired by one of the oldest coffee houses in the Italian Alps.
