What’s New – A Dining Revolution in Solihull

With the sunrays briefly greeting us and reminding us summer is just around the corner, it’s time to explore the ever-expanding Solihull dining scene. There are plenty of dining options in Solihull, including Michelin star, classic cuisine, and contemporary gastro pub grub. With styles to suit every taste and palate, Solihull welcomes a number of new and exciting restaurants with an array of flavours to discover.
Take a trip to Toffs by Rob Palmer, a fine-dining restaurant in Drury Lane. Blending quintessential modern and classic British cooking techniques and flavours. Rob previously worked as head chef at Hampton Manor, where he and his team achieved the prestigious status of a Michelin star, the first ever in Solihull. In the same week they were also awarded 4 rosettes from the AA guide, again a first for Solihull and Birmingham before Rob chose to set up his solo venture. The food is served as a 4 to 5 course menu for lunch and a 7 to 8 course menu at dinner. Rob takes his inspiration from the finest ingredients from changing seasons and multi-cultural Britain, using flavours and seasonings from around the world whilst always making sure the core of each dish remains British.
Or what about a visit to the new Japanese kitchen and bar, Kibou. Serving up a signature range of classic and contemporary dishes, offering a taste of Tokyo to an already bright and colourful town. The menu includes items such as, pillowy steamed bao buns, homemade gyoza, soul food, ramen and katsu curry. With a selection of homemade sushi and the chance to discover their famous volcano roll! Kibou is an all-day to night-time neighbourhood hangout, whether you want a Japanese feast or a Japanese-inspire cocktail, Kibou has got you covered.
If you are looking for a Mediterranean twist, then look no further than the new Emporio Artari. Including award-winning Italian celebrity chef Aldo Zilli as part of the team, the venture is inspired by one of the oldest coffee houses in Italy and brings with it all the style and elegance of traditional Italian hospitality. Tony Elvin, General Manager at Touchwood, says, “We are very excited to welcome the stunning Emporio Artari as the new centrepiece bar and coffee shop within Touchwood’s atrium. The design and quality of this operation will give guests a firm idea of how Touchwood is evolving post-pandemic. Café Artari will not just offer coffee but also Prosecco, gelato, cicchetti and more. I hope to see you there.”
